87 -- GYPSY MOTH DELTA TRAPS; BROWN, ORANGE AND GREEN SOL 31-M-APHIS-99 DUE 021999 POC Kathryn Linde 612-370-2494 The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Edinburg, TX intends to acquire 73,850 each of Delta Traps -- Brown, 146,140 each Delta Traps -- Orange, and 183,800 each Delta Traps -- Green, with two option years of similar quantities. A first article sample of the paperboard shall be provided within 10 days of contract award. A first article sample of 24 traps is required within 14 days after paperboard acceptance, with the first article sample produced at the same facility as the production quantity. This is a synopsis for request for proposal for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 15. This procurement will be awarded as a fixed price contract, FOB origin with shipment potentially to multiple locations. Inspection and acceptance will take place at source. It is anticipated that a single award will be made but multiple awards will be made if necessary to procure the total quantity. Proposals will be accepted for any or all of the requirements. Delivery of one-half the quantity is required by March 31, 1999 with the balance due by April 15, 1999. The copy of the solicitation, 31-M-APHIS-99, is to be released on or about February 3, 1999.
