The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington intends to award a sole-source purchase order with Marine Institute of Technology & Graduate Studies (Linthicum Heights MD) for rental of conference space. The Naval Legal Service Command desires to hold a conference for approximately 350 people in May 1999. Subject vendor is the only known source that meets the following requirements: 1. Facility must be within 5 miles of BWI. 2. Must have free transportation services to/from BWI during working hours Monday through Friday. 3. Must have conference space and meeting room facilities to accomodate 350 people within single building. 4. Must be able to accomodate 150 persons in single-occupancy rooms and 250 people in double-occupancy rooms. 5. Must be able to provide meals on the premises. 6. Must have A/V and other equipment available for use during the conference. 7. Must be available from Sunday eve 2 May 1999 through noon Wednesday 5 May 1999. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the Navy's requirement or submit proposals prior to noon 1 FEB 1999.
