The Smart Link Project Office operates a wide-area network that connects Navy activities through a commercially provided ATM backbone equipped with state-of-the-art multi-protocol routers and switches. The contractor will provide services to support the operation and maintenance of this network as outlined in individual delivery orders, which may also include requirements for design, development and related engineering services. The anticipated level of effort for a 5 year period is 81,500 manhours. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract is anticipated to consist of a base year and four one-year options. In addition, the Government reserves the right to exercise an additional six-month extension option per FAR 52.217-8. The SIC code for this requirement is 7373.
