The Department of the Air Force is interested in information technology (IT) companies that have experience developing and sustaining financial information systems, specifically budget systems, and an understanding of the Air Force Working Capital Fund (AFWCF). A requirement exists to improve the AFWCF budgeting and pricing processes. Objectives include improving the accuracy of the budget, improving the timeliness of budget submissions, providing more flexibility in analyzing the impact of any proposed changes, accomplishing security certification and accreditation, and automating manual processes. The new system will be used to produce budget exhibits for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller (OUSD/C) in designated pro forma report formats for each of the three activity groups within the AFWCF, including the Depot Maintenance Activity Group (DMAG), Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG), and Information Services Activity Group (ISAG).
