Pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 111, (94 Stat. 2997; 16 U.S.C. 470h-3 et seq.), notice is hereby given that the National Park Service intends to extend existing leases for historic buildings in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, Skagway, Alaska. The leases listed below would all be extended from the current expiration listed to December 31 of the same year respectively. This action would be advantageous to vacating leasees by not requiring them to lease the buildings for 6-8 months after the revenue producing season is over, and to potential new leasees by allowing them more time to occupy the building prior to the start of the next visitor season in May. It would also be advantageous to the National Park Service by providing for a more orderly leasing program. Leases for the buildings would be extended as follows: Boss Tailor and Furrier Building (260 Broadway)- from June 14, 2001 to December 31, 2001 Boss Bakery Building (520 Broadway)- from May 12, 2002 to December 31, 2002 Hern-Clipper Building (270 Broadway)- from May 2, 1999 to December 31, 1999 Lynch and Kennedy Dry Goods Building (352 Broadway)-from April 15, 2003 to December 31, 2003 Verbauwhedes Alley Structure (the "Cribs", 250 Broadway)- from June 4, 2002 to December 31, 2002 Verbaushedes Store and Confectionery (252 Broadway)- from June 14, 2001 to December 31, 201 For these reasons, it is the intention of the National Park Service to extend the current leases, as specified, 30 days from the date of publication of this notice.
