The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to renovate approximately 35,000 square feet of the JEH-FBI Building at 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20535. The work will be concentrated on the fifth (5th) floor of the FBI Headquarters facility. (1) The major items of work will consists generally of the following construction: demolition, construction of sound rated partitions and doorways, installation cable tray and conduit, HVAC and sprinkler system modifications. The successful contractor shall be required to FBI security requirements as set forth in the contract documents. The estimated cost of this work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Copies of drawings and specifications will be available by MAIL ONLY. Estimated release date is February 5, 1999. A Pre-Bid conference and site investigation is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 1999 at 10:00 am local time at FBI Headquarters Facility, Washington, D.C. A72 hour advance notice is required to attend the conference and site investigation. Due to security requirements, interested parties must furnish the name, date of birth, place of birth, and social security number of each individual who will be attending the site investigation and pre-bid conference. There is a limit of two individuals per company for the site visit and conference. This information is needed by 12:00 pm local time on February 12, 1999. Note:February 15, 1999 is a Federal Holiday. Specifications and detailed requirements will be furnished with the solicitation, BY MAIL REQUEST ONLY, with a deposit a refundable deposit of $200, for the first two (2) SETS OF THE SOLICITATION. Make checks payable to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Bid sets will be issued on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted. Bid sets will be sent by mail only.
