Required delivery with First Article is First Article Test Report due 228 days after contract award with 300 each due 300 days and 296 each month thereafter until shipped complete. Without First Article delivery is 300 each due 240 DACA and 296 each month until shipped complete. This procurement requires prequalfication. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action if for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permitfull and open competition. Approved sources are: Allied Signal, Phoenix, AZ and MRC Bearings, Jamestown, NY. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the solicitation.
