58 -- SOLID-STATE MODULATORS SOL IA-2102-S823-4787 POC Contracting Officer: Herman Shaw, (202) 205-5414 The U.S. Information Agency intends to negotiate subject to availability of funding a modification to existing Contract No. IA2102-C8234787 with Continental Electronics Corporation, P.O. Box 270879, Dallas, Texas 75227-0879. Continental will be required to fabricate and install three (3) Continental Solid-State Modulators (SSM's) for Continental, Model 419-F-2, 250 kW shortwave transmitter. Under the terms and conditions of the above contract, Continental is required to fabricate and furnish optional installation of Continental SSM's at various International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) relay stations. The basis for use of other than full and open competition is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency requirement (FAR 6.301-1 and 41 USC 253(c)(1).
