Description for 99-0019 The Navy intends to solicit and award a contract for fully assembled structural guy insulators and redesigned end castings in support of Very Low Frequency (VLF) transmitting facilities on a sole source basis from Litton Marine Systems, Canada (LMSC). The proposed will be a fixed price contract. The contract will provide for the design, development, fabrication and installation of VLF replacement insulator endcaps and installation of four new insulators. LMSC is the only contractor known that can produce insulators and endcaps to meet the above requirements. The proposed contract will be for six months, commencing approximately March 30, 1999.
