70 -- MICROSOFT PREMIER SUPPORT SERVICES SOL DTRA01-99-Q-2560 DUE 020499 POC Ms. Shirley Alexander, Contract Specialist, (703) 810-4789 or Mr. David Miller, Contracting Officer, (703) 810-4796 The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) requires Microsoft Premier Support services for proactive support planning, problem resolution, and special consulting for the Microsoft software products resident on the Agency Local Area Network. This is a notification of intent to place an order with Microsoft Corporation, Premier /Sales, Charlotte, NC. The Microsoft Premier Support shall provide solution-oriented technical support and personalized support management and services. Technical support shall include immediate access to full resources of the Microsoft Support Network. This support shall be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week for desktop applications, personal operating systems, development, and advanced systems. This support shall provide an issue-management process in which all appropriate Microsoft resources are applied to resolve customer issues promptly and to the customer's satisfaction. The support shall cover all currently released Microsoft products, plus a selected set of pre-releaseproducts. Vendors qualified to provide the subject services under terms and conditions more advantageous to the Government should submit technical evidence of their capability to the above address no later than 4 Feb 99. All responses will be fully considered by DTRA. Evidence submitted should clearly demonstrate the vendors' ability to provide the requisite services and the price for doing so. No solicitation document exists and requests for such will not be considered. No telephone responses will be honored. Facsimile responses are acceptable and should be directed to Ms. Shirley Alexander at (703) 810-4675. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued, but no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent and demonstrate their technical capability to provide the required services.
