This procurement will be for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Pest Control services shall be in the form of comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IMP) which is a process for achieving long term, environmentally sound pest suppression through a variety of technological and management practices. This includes application of pesticides, surveillance, trapping of pests and providing SSA with detailed, site specific recommendations for structural and procedural modifications necessary to achieve pest reduction and prevention. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The period of performance shall be for one year from the date of award with provisions for the inclusion of four (4) one-year option periods. Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number SSA-RFQ-99-3757 is scheduled for release on or about Feb 12, 1999 with quotes due 21 days thereafter. Requests for the RFQ should be received no later than 10 days after the date of this publication. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Quotes received from OTHER than small business will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration.
