D -- HARDWARE MAINTENANCE FOR DEC EQUIPMENT SOL N68936-99-Q-0123 DUE 021699 POC Sue Casey, Contract Specialist, Code 230000D, (760) 939-4115 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis 3 months of maintenance for Digitial Equipment computer systems to MFS, Inc. 3373 Progress Road, Norfolk, VA 23502 based on only one responsible source, this requirement is a follow on to existing contract while new requirement is being work. The request for propsoal for the major contract requirement was advertised and will be awarded an a competative requirement. Only this 3 month bridge will be sole sourced. This RFQ is 100 % small business set aside SIC 7378 SIZE 18M. The maintenance shall include, but not be limited to: On-call maintenace for 59 systems and per call for other systems as needed. For the maintenance and repair the contractor shall maintain all types of DEC manufactured equipment aand attached peripherals in proper operating condition in accordance with the standards recommended by OEM. The contractor shall provide z toll free number for customers to schedule service and/or preventative manitenance for on-call systems. The principle period of maintenance (PPM) shall be 7:00 am to 5:00 pm except for Echo range which will be 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. During PPM the response time between receipt of a trouble call and the service technican making telephone contact with the customer shall be no greater than one work hour and arrival at the repair site no more than one hour after telephone contact. It the PPM is received within one hour of the end of the PPM, the contractor shall respond to the trouble call by the beginning of the PPM of the next work day. The contractor shall provde per-call maintenance service with a two hour response time inside and outside the PPM. The contractor must have and be able to maintain a SECRET clearance. All work shall be in accordacne with the Statement of Work and inventory which will be provided with the RFQ. Any firms beleiving they can provide these services shall submit a written response to be received by the COntracting Officer no later than 5 DAYS after the publication date of this notice.
