The Standard Industrial Code (SIC), for this project is 7349 -- Building Cleaning and Maintenance Services, Not Elsewhere Classified. The size standard is $12 Million. Contract is to furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, supervision, incidental engineering, and management required to perform inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and component replacement as required to maintain elevator, escalator, dumbwaiter, and moving sidewalk equipment systems in accordance with the manufacturer's original specifications at the Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. The projected dated of availability of the solicitation is 16 February 1999. The projected bid opening dated is 16 March 1999. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick up a copy of the plans and specs at the office of the Facility Support Contracts Section, Bldg. 2034, Quantico, Virginia. The hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. There will be no charge for these documents, however, there will be only one set issued per contractor. Requests for plans and specs and bidder's list should be made separately to avoid confusion. This also applies to requests for numerous solicitations.
