The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to award a contract on a competitive basis for non-personal technical and engineering support services for various Special Operations Forces (SOF) systems being developed, modified, or supported by the Coastal Systems Station (COASTSYSTA). Major platforms supported include: the MK V Special Operations Craft (SOC) Operating system, The Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), Patrol Coastal ship (PC -- 1 class), the Patrol Boat Law Enforcement (PBL), and other ships and craft in the Special Warfare role. Efforts in SOF support will involve concept formulation, system design, systems engineering and integration, installation and checkout, in-service engineering, configuration management, quality assurance, and integrated logistics support for systems from cradle to grave, i.e., from initial concept development through operational fielding and life cycle support. Required areas of technical expertise include: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence; Precision Navigation; Sonar; Radar; Tactical displays; Remotely Operated Vehicles, Electro-optic Programs, Modeling and Simulation, and; Life cycle sustainment management. Support will be included for maintenance of fielded SOF craft/systems, e.g., performing restricted availability (RAV) on small manned submersibles. Support will also be required for emergent advanced development and related technology base programs in support of SOF. Technical and cost proposals will be requested.
