DSS-W intends to award a sole source contract under Far Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, to International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc (ISC), 415 Boston Turnpike, Suite 105, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. ISC is the only source that can perform the training as it is the only certifying body and has the only approved Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Program. The Consortium was developed for the sole purpose of providing this certification program. The Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) questions and acceptable certificaiton examinations are the property of ISC. Certification can only be granted by passing their examination and meeting the other requirements of their program. The CBK training is designed to cover the information and types of questions that might be expected on the examination. The training will consists of two, four day course modules with 30 participants each and held in Linthicum, MD. This notice is for information purposes only. No solicitation will be issued.
