Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to enter into an Agreement
under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2371, Section 845, with Boeing North
America of Marietta, Georgia, for the fifth and final phase of the SLID
Development Program. The core effort in this Phase is the conduct of
testing on a functional prototype that, if successful, will result in
a pre-E&MD prototype for further use by the using service. The
estimated value of this effort is $3 million; the estimated duration is
twelve months. The Contractor retains the specific experience,
capability, facilities, and personnel to accomplish this Phase within
the Government's cost and schedule constraints; and as such, the
Contractor is the only source known to the Government that can satisfy
this requirement. This Notice is not a request for proposals. See Note
