The Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH, has a requirement to provide expert guidance, training and services to support conduct of clinical and epidemiologic studies potentially in over 20 international locations, most in the developing world. Key roles of the effort will be to 1) assist sites in meeting U.S. and international regulatory and ethical standards for human research, including fulfilling the requirements for documentation, 2) facilitate local data management at the sites, 3) assist in statistical design and analysis, 5) perform study coordination and data management predominantly for multisite studies and 6) facilitate collaboration among the participating clinical investigators. It is anticipated that one (1) completion type cost-reimbursement contract for a five-year period of performance will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.
