This is a modification to the synopsis entitled DEVELOPMENT OF A HIGH PERFORMANCE, SPACE QUALIFIED TRAVELING WAVE TUBE (TWT) AMPLIFIER 3-115260 which was posted on January 5, 1999.You are notified that the following changes are made: The Base contract of 36 months and the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quanitity (ID/IQ) for the flight units is deleted and replaced with a base period and two option periods as follows: 1. The Base period is an 18 month effort which consists of: Fabrication and testing of a TWT to demonstrate proof of concept of a TWT at the required frequency and power levels. 2. Option 1 period is an 18 month effort which consists of: Fabrication of an Electronic Power Conditioner (EPC). The Contractor shall mate the EPC with TWT, test TWTA, and package as engineering qualification model. Option 1 exercised approximately 12 months into contract. 3. Option 2 period is a 12 month effort which consists of: Flight Model TWTAs. The Contractor shall Fabricate and deliver up to three flight model TWTAs. Option 2 exercised approximately 24 months into contract. Total performance period for base and options is 36 months.
