C -- A/E SERVICES ROOF REPAIRS, DD DUE 030399 POC Mary T. Crace, Contracting Officer, (706) 731-7173 Furnish A/E Services for the design of Project 509-97-108, Roof Repairs, DD, (Building 801). Building 801 is a seven-story medical center facility located at the Downtown Division, VA Medical Center, 800 Bailie Drive, Augusta, Georgia. Services shall include 100% design, specifications, drawings, construction cost estimates and construction period services. Firm must have and demonstrate experience in design and contract document preparation for the repair/replacement of roofs for such buildings. Firms must have a registered architect and/or engineer on staff with expertise in this area. Firms must be able to provide specifications on 3-1/2" floppy disks in Wordperfect Version 5.0 and original reproducible drawings on 3-1/2" floppy disks in autocad R14. Evaluation factors include, but are not limited to the following: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services, 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, 3) Capacity toaccomplish the work in the required time, 4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules, 5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project, 6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered material and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design, 7) Acceptability under other appropriate evaluation criteria. Area of consideration limited to a 75 mile radius of Augusta, Georgia. This solicitation is issued under the provisions of the Small Business Demonstration Program (PL 100-656).
