R -- TRANSLATION, TRANSCRIPTION AND MONITORING SERVICES FOR THE NEW YORK DIVISION SOL DEA-99-R-0004 DUE 041599 POC Peggy Ayanian, Contract Specialist, (202) 307-4921 The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to issue a solicitation for the monitoring, translation and transcription services of audio and video tapes and documents from various foreign languages into English, and the furnishing of bilingual monitors for non-consensual telephone and electronic listening device intercepts to provide simultaneous translation of intercepted languages into English. DEA intends to conduct a full and open competition for this requirement. This procurement is for the New York Field Division. The release of Request For Proposal (RFP) DEA-99-R-0004 is delayed until March 3, 1999. All possible offerors are reminded that security clearances are required, and background security investigations will be conducted on each employee working on this requirement. The proposed contract period is a base year, and four one-year option requirements. The option requirements will be exercised upon the availability of funds. There will be subcontracting opportunities. Only written requests for the RFP will be accepted. Those companies who have already responded for copies of the RFP shall not do so again.
