The work includes the construction of a new Bioenvironmental Engineering Facility of Approximately 390 square meters. The building will be single story and of permanent construction with exterior walls of CMU and brick construction, a combination of bearing wall and steel frame structure, concrete slab on grade floors, and metal standing seam roof. Interior construction will consist of metal stud and gypsum board partitions, acoustical lay-in and gypsum board ceilings, and flooring of carpet, ceramic tile, resilient tile and sheet vinyl. The building will house offices, laboratories, a classroom and storage areas. Electrical, telephone, fire alarm, automatic fire protection, heating, ventilating and air conditioning will be provided. Site improvements will include the construction of a new paved parking area of 22 spaces and modification of an existing parking lot where the building will be located, landscaping and irrigation, water, sewer, storm drainage and site lighting. Project includes the relocation of an existing precast concrete storage building from another location on Keesler Air Force Base to the project site. The project includes all incidental related work. There is 1 Bid Option in this project. The asphalt parking lot north of the Bioenvironmental Engineering Facility, complete with associated clearing, storm drainage, landscaping, irrigation, and site lighting. There will be a 90 days to exercise Bid Option. Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interests, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Estimated cost of project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Estimated duration of the contract is 285 calendar days for completion.
