The project consists of removing shoals from the Entrance Channel, the Trident Access Channel and Turning Basin, and Construction Dredging of a Widener between Cuts-1 and 2. This project is set up in two alternatives. Award will be made to the responsible low bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government considering funds limitation. The Government intends to award Alternate B to the responsible low bidder. However, if the lower bid price on Alternate B exceeds the funds available for this project, the Government will award Alternate A to the responsible low bidder. Alternative-A (Alt.-A) will include; Maintenance Dredging approximately 425,000 cubic yards. Area of dredging is Cut-2 Sta. 125-150 and Cut-1 Sta. 60-125 with ocean disposal, and Cut-2 Sta. 150-181+47.58 with near-shore or ocean disposal all dredged to a required depth of 44-feet with 2-feet allowable overdepth. Included in Alt-A is Option-AA, which requires dredging approximately 295,000 cubic yards. Area of dredging is the Trident Access Channel and Trident Turning Basin with near-shore or ocean disposal, dredged to a required depth of 41-feet with 2-feet allowable overdepth and Cut-1A with ocean disposal, dredged to a required depth of 44-feet with 2-feet allowable overdepth. Also included in Alt.-A is Option-AB which requires Construction Dredging approximately 270,000 cubic yards. Area of dredging is the Widener between Cuts-1 and -2 with ocean disposal, dredged to a required depth of 41-feet with 2-feet allowable overdepth. Alternative-B (Alt.-B) will include maintenance Dredging approximately 575,000 cubic yards. Area of dredging is Cut-2 Sta. 125-150 with ocean disposal, and Cut-2 Sta. 150-181+47.58 with near-shore or ocean disposal all dredged to a required depth of 46-feet with 1-foot allowable overdepth. Also Cut-1 Sta. 60-125 with ocean disposal dredged to a required depth of 44-feet with 2-feet allowable overdepth. Included in Alt.-B is Option-BA, which requires dredging approximately295,000 cubic yards.
