Invitation to Bid, Technical Review Services. The Rocky Flats Citizens Advisory Board (RFCAB), an independent advisory board operating under a grant from the United States Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking expressions of interest from contractors to provide technical review services beginning May 1, 1999 and continuing through December 31, 1999. The contract will be renewable at that time given DOE continued funding for the project. The technical review services will be for the Actinide Migration Studies Technical Review Group which has been formed as a part of the Rocky Flats Citizens Advisory Board to oversee the conduct of a scientific study of actinide migration at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site. Duties to be performed by the contractor include reviewing and commenting on the methodology used and the results obtained by the Actinide Migration Studies Group pertaining to actinide movements through environmental media. In addition, the contractor will review and provide comment on the Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and soil sampling protocols used by the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site to collect data for the Studies. Additional required responsibilities are set forth in the Request for Proposals for this project. A Request for Proposals describing in more detail the responsibilities outlined above, as well as additional information necessary to compete for this contract, will be available on February 8, 1999.
