A requirements contract with a 5-year basic period is being solicited for the overhaul and repair of Gas Turbine Engine applicable to the A-10. The requirement is for a follow-on contract to existing Contract F41608-97-D-0725 awarded on 13 Aug 97. Approximately 18 items will be included in the solicitation. The FSCs are 2835, 2910, 2920 and 4810. The items identifed herein are representative of the total requirement and represent the majority of the anticipated dollars: NSN 2835-01-180-0452, 36-50h GTE, P/N 3800232-1-3, Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) 35; NSN 2835-01-343-2534, 36-50H APU, P/N 38000000-7, BEQ 215; NSN 2910-01-087-6643YP, Fuel Control, P/N 3882544-2, BEQ 255; NSN 2920-01-112-9308YP, Starter, P/N 519892-5, BEQ 614. The BEQs represent totals for the life of the contract. Data applicable to the above will be required. Repair and Overhaul will be in accordance with Appendix A and Appendix C. Government Furnished Material will be provided as listed in Appendix B. The tentative issue date ofthe solicitation is 1 Mar 99 and the tentative closing date is 30 Mar 99. This requirement is under FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition of Commercial Items. Approved sources are: Allied Signal, Triumph Air Repair, UNC Airwork Corp, and Microturbo, Inc. Qualification requirements will be released with the solicitation. Sources must be qualified prior to award.
