A requirements contract with a 5-Year basic period is being solicited for the repair/overhaul of the F-15 Airframe Mounted Accessory Drive (AMAD) and components. Contract will be for overflow/contingency of organic overhaul capacity and applicable to the following weapon system, F-15 series ACFT. There will be 15 items included in the solicitation. The BEQs represent totals for the life of the contract. Form, fit, and function: The F-15 Right Hand AMAD and Left Hand AMAD are major assemblies of the F-15 Aircraft Start System. The RH and LH AMAD Housings are constructed primarily of magnesium with steel inserts lining the bearing bores. Dimensions are approximately 16.25 L X 14.75 W X 11.25. Hand weighs 60 pounds. Each RH and LH AMAID provides accessory drive pad and power control hydraulic pump drive pad. PRIDE MODIFICATION -- A Depot Level reliability and maintain- ability mod will be accomplished on AMADs during the repair process. The mod will be accomplished at the rate of kit receipt and the quantites are included in the stated BEQs. Data and military packaging applicable. Quality: ANSI/ASQC Q9002-1994 applies. Overhaul shall be performed in accordance with the statement of work develop from the Statement of Objectives, with an Appendix B and Appendix C. The tentatie issue date for the solicitation is 16 MAR 99 and the tenative closing date is 16 MAY 99. The approved source is AlliedSignal Engines Inc, Phoenix AZ. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualification Requirements will be released with the solicitation. No telephone request.
