Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Systems Program Office, Air
Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, Florida, plans to contract for JDAM
integration support on various aircraft platforms, to include: F-15,
F-16C/D, F-14, the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), F-22, F-117, F/A-18,
AV-8B, B-1B, B-2A, and B-52. The Boeing Company is the current JDAM
prime contractor, and has sole responsibility for design and warranty
of the JDAM weapon system. Boeing is not required to furnish a
technical data package to the Joint Systems Program Office, and
therefore a data package is not available to interested sources to aid
in accomplishment of JDAM integration on the above designated
platforms. The scope of this effort shall include procurement of test
and integration hardware/software such as: separation, guided and
instrumented guided test vehicles, tail kits', and laboratory weapon
simulators, together with technical support for the actual planning,
conduct, analysis and documentation of tests. Interested parties are
requested to submit a qualification package demonstrating knowledge of
the JDAM weapon system to include intimate knowledge/expertise in the
following areas: JDAM transfer alignment, JDAM environmental
characteristics, JDAM interface operations, and JDAM autopilot
functionality. Interested sources must also demonstrate prior
integration effort(s) involving GPS/INS systems on U.S. Air Force and
Navy airframes. Submission of a qualification package should be made to
the above AAC/YUB address, to the attention of Ms. Bridget L. Tuominen,
Contract Specialist, and must be received on or before 16 February 99.

882-3525, Ext 3124. An ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns
relating to this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the
authority of the program director or contracting officer, but
communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation process. Contractors who have concerns about this
