47 -- HOSE ASSEMBLIES SOL N00181-99-R-0008 POC Nancy Hayden, Code 531.4A, (757) 396-8346; Nancy Hassell-Sitar, Code 531, (757) 396-8346 The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex, proposes to contract for an Annual Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Type Contract for a base year with four (4) one-year option periods for suction and discharge hose assemblies for delivery to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. The estimated quantity for each year for each size hose is 500 assemblies. It is anticipated that the period of performance for this contract will start 11 February 2000. Bid samples will be required with proposals. The hose sizes are 2 inch I.D. X 2-1/2 inch O.D. and 3 inch I.D. X 3-1/2 inch O.D. The hose shall be heavy duty, hardwall; reinforcement shall consist of natural or synthetic textile yarns which are woven with a helix or helixes of round steel wire and filler yarns alternately spaced; hose shall be any color except yellow or magenta; shall have a minimum working pressure of 150 PSI and maximum working pressure of 300 PSI; must have a male coupling (MS27021-12 for 2 inch and MS27021-16 for 3 inch) on one end and a female coupling (MS27025-12 for 2 inch and MS27025-16 for 3 inch) on the other end; couplings to be bronze, CAMLOCKING, Quick-Connect type.
