Laboratories must meet a strict set of qualifications that have been established by US Bureau of Reclamation, 2800 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA. Labortory qualifications are as follows: Laboratory must: have a Quality Assurance Manual, have capabilities to provide analytical measurements identified in the program summary, have a copy of SOP for the methods of interest, participate and perform well in the EPA WP and WS performance studies, have California certification, pass the US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) performance check sample study, provide bottles at NO additional cost, provide courier service from the regional building located at 2800 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA to the lab at NO additional cost, with advanced notification from USBR laboratory be able to perform analyses within acceptable holding time which could be as little as 24-48 hours at NO additional cost, provide EDD at NO additional cost, be willing to reanalyze samples at USBR's request and only charge for the reanalysis when results confirmed the original data, be willing to reanalyze a bracket of samples or the whole batch of samples if a change occurred upon the reanalysis of a sample at NO additional cost to USBR, submit a case narrative with each data report submitted to USBR explaining problems encountered upon the analysis of USBR samples, have Quality Assurance Officer who is not part of the laboratory production management, supply QA summary reports (blanks, dups, spikes, CCV, CCB, LCS, and etc), perform matrix spikes on samples from USBR at NO additional cost, provide analytical results within three weeks of courier receipt of samples, be audtied and approved by the USBR Quality Assurance Group, and must be located within a 50 mile radius of Sacramento, CA.
