Nellis AFB is conducting a market survey to determine the existence and interest of potential Contractors, for a nonpersonal, to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and parts necessary to provide modification, renovation, and refurbishing of six Intercity buses located at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Las Vegas, NV 89191. Requirement is for a contractor to upgrade engines with Detroit Diesel Series 50. Replace all hoses, modify cooling and exhaust system. rewiring. Upgrade manual transmission to HT 740D automatic transmission for one bus. Overhaul front and rear suspension. Install new Airbags, shock absorbers, Kingpins and bushings, tie rod ends and radius rod bushings. Replace power steering box. Rebuild steering column. Replace brake linings, return springs and brake drums. Install sound system. Remove restrooms. Reupholster all seats. Upgrade seat backs, overhead luggage racks, and interior walls. Overhaul air conditioning system, A/C compressor, internal core flush, replace valves, new filter dryer and recharge with Frig-C.
