all interested parties that NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center
anticipates release of RFP 61742/261 by February 5, 1999. This
procurement for maintenance, operations and engineering services
supporting the NASA Laser Ranging and Very Long Baseline Interferometry
Systems stations world-wide was first synopsized on July 2, 1999. A
draft RFP was released on NAIS for industry comment, also on July 2,
1999. The Government's requirements include the management, operation,
engineering, maintenance, and support of a set of government furnished
SLR and VLBI systems located in the United States and in other
countries, in order to provide data to be analyzed by scientific groups
around the world. This is a full and open competition. Award of a cost
plus incentive fee, performance based, mission contract is
anticipated. The period of performances for VLBI requirements under
this contract will be 5 years. The period of performance for NSLR
requirements under this contract will be 3 years, with2, one-year
options to extend NSLR performance. Offers made under this full and
open competition are due 45 days after release of the RFP on the NASA
Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS). Documents will be in RTF format
and Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0)
formats and will reside on a WorldWide Web (WWW) server, which may be
accessed using a WWW browser application. The WWW address, or URL of
the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities page is

responsibility to monitor the aforementioned Internet site for the
release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors
