The assessment would examine a wide range of issues including: 1) the effectiveness of vocational education at the secondary and postsecondary level; 2) the effects of promising reform initiative upon education and labor market outcomes of students; 3) trends on vocational education enrollment and course; 4) the quality of instructional practice in vocational education; 5) accountability systems and their relationship to program improvement; 6) the response of states, school districts and colleges to changes in Federal Legislative priorities; and 7) state and local initiatives to integrate vocational education and other workforce development programs.
