Manager, 214/819-7275 This project is for construction of a new 22,045
square foot one-story Postal facility consisting of a steel structure
with built-up roof, pier and beam slab on select fill and exterior
skin composed of brick veneer, metal studs, to be known as the Seminary
Hill Station, Fort Worth, Texas, in accordance with the plans and
specifications. Other materials include aluminum storefront and windows
and low E-insulated glass. There will be metal canopies with metal
soffits over the carrier and mail platforms. Another feature includes
a native planting area, and landscaping is based on xeriscaping
concepts. Interior finishes include painted gypsum board walls,
suspended acoustical tile (2 x 2 and 2 x 4), gypsum board ceilings,
carpet, ceramic and porcelain tile, cabinetry with plastic laminate
finishes, concrete vault and loading dock with two dock levelers and
two flip ramps. This building will include recycled and environmentally
sound materials. This recycled theme will be important for construction
and disposal of project materials. The site is located on the southwest
corner of Hemphill and Alta Mesa in Fort Worth. Estimated cost range
$1,750,000 -- $2,000,000 and construction time is 270 calendar days.
Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and
Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with
their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with
minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% and
subcontract with woman-owned business firms in an amount not less than
7% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must include
documentation from bonding agent indicating offeror's capability at
time offer is due. The successful contractor will be required to
provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48)
hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this
office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on March 9, 1999.
Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on
February 9, 1999 at a cost of $140.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable
by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded

orders must be made payable to QUORUM ARCHITECTS, INC. Since this is
a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number
of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one
offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed. Plans may
be inspected at the issuing office and any questions and/or information
regarding this solicitation may be obtained by calling Joe Laehr,
