The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: (1) Furnish all materials and all work associated with the existing coating removal and surface preparation for recoating the interiors of three pump intakes and discharge pipes including removal and disposal of all coating and surface preparation materials. The area of work will be approximately 90 linear feet of 11 foot diameter pipe and approximately 41 linear feet of 6 foot diameter shaft enclosing tube for each unit. (2) Furnish all materials and perform all work associated with coating the interior of the three pump unit intakes and discharge pipes, as described above. (3) Furnish all materials and perform all work associated with patch work on the coal tar epoxy coating in three pump unit discharge tunnels. The work consist of repairing approximately 10 seperate areas of approximately 10 square feet or less. The estimated price range of the work is $250,000 to $500,000. The work is located approximately 8 miles southeast of Garrison, North Dakota in McLean County at the Snake Creek Pumping Plant. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available March 5, 1999. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before March 23, 1999. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for April 6, 1999, at the Bureau of Reclamation's Dakotas Area Office, U.S. Federal Building, 304 East Broadway, Room 338, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract is to be completed within approximately 120 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana, or the Dakotas Area Office, Bismarck, North Dakota. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
