published as a Total Small Business Set-Aside action per FAR 52.219-1
and 52.219-6 (this means you must be a small business, quoting the
product of a small-business manufacturer); all eligible, responsible
sources may submit an offer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation
for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 and the format
in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY
solicitation; quotes are being requested and A SEPARATE WRITTEN
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number/RFQ
N00244-99-T-0167 applies. This solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-09 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement
1998 Edition including updates through 2/4/99. The standard industrial
code is 3563 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This
requirement is for a fixed priced contract for one (1) line items as
follows. Quotes will be accepted on a "Brand Name or Equal" basis. The
following brand name products are known to be acceptable: 1)
Ingersoll-Rand SSR Model XF75. The following salient characteristics
are CRITICAL/ESSENTIAL to the Government: GENERAL COMPRESSOR DATA:
Inlet regulation constant speed, load/no-load with time delay shutdown;
Capacity FAD (free air delivery) CFM 364; Full Load Package Discharge
Pressure PSIG 100; Maximum Operating Pressure PSIG 103; Cut-in pressure
80 PSIG; Drive Design -- V-belt or direct coupled; COOLING DATA GENERAL
115 DEGREES F MAXIMUM AMBIENT: Air-cooled oil cooler; air-cooled
aftercooler with separator on ACD; Aftercooler CTD (40% relative
humidity inlet air at 100 degrees F) 15 degrees F.; ELECTRICAL DATA:
460V, Motor design: NEMA Design B; Insulation Class F; Drive Motor
Frame TEFC 404T; Starter type: reduced voltage, Wye or Star Delta, NEMA
or IEC starter enclosure NEMA 12. LINE ITEM 0001: Air compressor,
Ingersoll Rand Model XF75 or equal. Quantity one (1) each. Price to
INCLUDE INSTALLATION (moving existing unit, replacing compressor and
ducting the heat flow from unit to the roof) at the Shore Intermediate
Maintenance Activity (SIMA) 32nd Street Naval Base, San Diego, CA.
Inspection/Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provision at
FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies.
Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an
express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms,
including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public.
Express warranties shall be included in the contract. FAR Clause
52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies as
well as the following addendum clauses: FAR 219-1, Small Business
Program Representations; FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business
Set-Aside; FAR 52.211-5, Material Requirements; and FAR 52.225-11,
Restrictions on Certain Foreign Purchases. The clause at FAR 52.212-5,

all requirements identified as "Critical/Essential to the Government"
in the above purchase description for Line Item 0001. OFFERORS ARE

COMPLETED FAR 52.212-3. QUOTES INVOLVING ELIGIBLE PRODUCTS FROM
DESIGNATED, NAFTA OR CARIBBEAN BASIN COUNTRIES SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN
THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND IN U.S. DOLLARS. Reference Solicitation number
on all correspondence. In addition, if you are quoting on a comparable
commercial item, product literature must be included. Quotes must be
