VME CHASSIS: Quantity of 39 (with options for additional 1, 2, 5, and 14 units) ruggedized VME Chassis with welded seam construction suitable for US Navy Submarine installation. The chassis must be designed to meet MIL S-901 and MIL STD-461 for shock, vibration and EMI. The chassis must have front to back evacuation cooling with honeycomb filtering, customized front and rear panels with specialized internal cable assembly requirements. The chassis shall use a j1/j2 monolithic VME backplane compliant with IEEE 1014. The backplane shall have automatic daisy chained -bus grant, acknowledge, interrupt support and in-board termination. The average crosstalk shall not exceed 6% of the voltage of an input pulse of amplitude 200MV and rise time of 600Ps when applied to a slot one signal line and measured at an adjacent signal line at the last slot of the backplane. Commercial procedures per FAR Part 12 will be used. The solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days per FAR 5.203 (a) & (h).
