Solicitation scheduled to issue on 2/4/99. This solicitation is
re-issued to incorporate the following Multiple Award Schedules,
previously managed in Auburn, Washington: FSC Group 68, Part VI,
Section A-Disinfectants; FSC Group 68, Part VI, Section B-Deodorants;
79VIIIB(CPAL) moved to Group 68-Toilet Bowl Cleaner (liquid, powder,
gel), Spray-on/wipe-off germicidal cleaner/degreaser, aerosol, pump
spray, and sanitizers for food handling areas, liquid, powder, gel,
aerosol, pump spray and insect repellent. This solicitation is a
standing solicitation for Federal Supply Schedule FSC Group 68, Part
VI, Sections A and B from which the Government contemplates award of
contracts for supplies listed in the Schedule of Items. This
solicitation will remain in effect unless amended and/or replaced by an
updated solicitation. There is no closing date for receipt of
offers,therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time
during the life of this solicitation. Effective immediately, this
Federal Supply Schedule will no longer have a prescribed beginning and
ending date. The schedule period will be be continuous, and will
contain contracts with periods that commence on the date of award(DOA)
and expire five years (exclusive of any options) from the DOA. In
addition the Multiple Award schedule solicitations will become
"standing" opportunities for new offers. This means that new offers may
be forwarded to the Contracting Officer, at the address above, at any
time. Contracts awarded under this solicitation will be in effect for
five years from date of award, unless further extended pursuant to any
Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, or canceled sooner. FSC
6840. Standard Commercial Products; Multiple Award Schedule; Fixed
Price with EPA; Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contracts for
disinfectants, deodorants, toilet bowl/germicidal cleaners, sanitizers
and insect repellents. New features are combination of schedules 68
Part VI, Section A, Disinfectants, 68 Part VI Section B, Deodorants,
and 79VIIIB(CPAL) into one schedule, a reduction of disinfectant
Special Item Numbers(SINs), a new SIN for insect repellent, worldwide
coverage, mandatory acceptance of Government credit card, opportunity
to introduce new products, new authorized negotiators provision,
incorporation of 2000 compliance (Y2K) clause, and a new security
requirement for hand delivered offers. To assist customer agencies to
determine when they should seek a price decrease, a level called the
maximum order will be established under each contract. When an agency
order exceeds this amount, it is recommended that the agency contact
the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors will no be obligated to
accept these orders in accordance with FAR 52.216-19. UNDER THIS
SOLICITATION, OFFERS WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED FOR BRANDS IDENTICAL TO
THOSE CURRENTLY AWARDED. See Note 12(Trade Agreement) applies. All
