R -- Sources Sought Notice: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. The Air Armament Center, AAC/PKOI, Operational Contracting, Infrastructure Branch, 205 West "D" Ave., Suite 541, Eglin AFB, Florida, 32542-6867, will be issuing all future competitive requirements on the world wide web (www). This Sources Sought Notice is initiated to compile a list of companies that can provide assistance to potential construction bidders/offerors for printing/copying services. Companies who respond to this announcement and can demonstrate that they can meet the minimum printing needs described below will be put on a Reference List that will be available on the Contracting Opportunities Page to contractors who wish to solicit and obtain printing/copying services. The list compiled from this notice will be available on the Eglin Home Page for each solicitation issued on the AAC/PK, Eglin AFB FL, Contracting Opportunities Page; page address: http://eglinpk.eglin.af.mil. Printing companies that wish to be included on the Reference List must be able to, as a minimum, (1) Download the projects from the www; (2) Print blueprints either 30" x 42" and/or 34" x 22"; (3) Print project specifications; and, (4) Print solicitation documents. The software required to accomplish the task is available from the Viewer's Button, Contracting Opportunities page, and consists of Microsoft Word Reader, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Source View Reader. Construction contractors may select from the Reference List any company who best fits their needs (i.e., price, location, response time, etc.). Contractors will not be restricted to the Reference List, however. The Reference List will only serve as a suggestion of known sources for this type of service. The Government will not endorse or have any decision as to those firms construction contractors select to perform the printing/copying services. An Ombudsman has been established for this Sources Sought Notice. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns, if any, from potential sources when a source prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concerns. Potential sources should contact established channels to request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before resorting to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman should only be contacted with issues or problems that have been previously brought to the attention of the contracting officer and could not be satisfactorily resolved at that level.
