Elm The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection
Service (FSIS) intends to award a contract to Food Processors
Institute, 1401 New York Ave., Suite 400, Washington, DC 20005 for the
purchase of "HACCP, A Workshop Manual". The manual provides
information and guidance in developing and setting up a HACCP program.
It assists food industry personnel in tailoring the application of
HACCP principles to their products, processes and distribution systems.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AVAILABLE. Food Processors Institute
is the only know source for providing this manual. All interested
concerns must identify their interest in written and fully document
their capability to meet the Agency's requirements by forwarding a
detailed response by February 22, 1999. All responses must be in
writing and may be faxed to 301-504-4276. All proposal from responsible
sources will be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative written
response is received by February 22, 1999 to determine that a
comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the
Government, negotiations will take place with Food Processors
