The gloves shall be manufactured in accordance with USAF Academy Purchase Description (PD)34LS/LGU 176, which will be provided with the solicitation. The fabric shall be 100% preshrunk cotton, 9.5 oz per square yard. All fabric components shall be good color-fastness with the ability to withstand bleaching and washing temperatures of approximately 125 degrees. The design shall be wrist length with three beads on back of hand approximately 3 inches long for both men's and women's. The gloves shall have elastic strip 3/8 inch wide by 2 inches long, sewn zigzag at center wrist palm 1 3/4 inches from wrist edge. All measurements are approximate. Various sizes for women from 6 to 9 1/2 and men from Small -- X-Large. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price requirements contract with basic period and four (4), one-year options. Basic period is date of award through 30 SEP 00. Estimated annual quantity for men's gloves: 4936 pair. Estimated annual quantity for women's gloves: 720 pair. Both quantities include fill-in orders. Exact quantity and sizes will be provided no later than 30 NOV of each year by delivery order. Delivery for fill-in orders shall be 60 days after receipt of order. A first article will be required from the successful offeror. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, USAF Academy CO no later than 30 APR of each year beginning in 2000.
