of CommerceNOAA/NMFS/Office of Protected Resources intends to negotiate
on a sole source basis with Andrew Bruckner, Silver Spring, MD, to
provide support in meeting the goals of the International Coral Reef
Initiative and the U.S. Coral Task Force. The contractor, will be
responsible for : 1. Coral Species and Ecosystem Conservation project,
2. International Trade in Coral Species (in cooperation with CITES and
NFWF), 3. U.S. Coral Reef Task Force working groups, 4. CITES
significant trade studies for marine invertebrates and fishes. These
actions will result in progress toward the understanding of the threats
to coral reefs worldwide, and the development of strategies for the
conservation, protection and sustainable development of coral reefs.
Other offerors that believe they have the ability to perform these
services are invited to submit information as to their capabilities and
any other pertinent data to the address above to be received no later
than 15 days after the date of this notice. No solicitation documents
exist: therefore, a request for such a document will not be considered.
Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Reference
