K -- YEAR 2000 SOFTWARE/EQUIPMENT UPGRADE POC Dan Carroll, Supervisory Contract Specialist The Federal Correctional Institution, Beckley, WV has a requirement to complete a software migration and equipment upgrades of the System 600 Facility Management System in order to be Year 2000 compatible. This system controls the operation of the various mechanical systems affecting the operation of the instituion such as boilers, chillers, generators, etc. All work must be completed by 5/1/99 in order to properly test and make any necessary modifications to the system prior to the Year 2000. Work will include software upgrades, computer installation, field panel firmware upgrades, graphics, reconfiguration, onsite training, and related work. The upgrades and related work must be inncorporated to match the existing mechanical systems. The intended source is Siemens Building Technologies, Inc./Landis Division, 1255-B Trapper Circle, Roanoke, VA 24012. It is anticipated that award will be made approximately March 10, 1999.
