SOLICITATION NOTICE. Project consists of constructing a new, two story building using structural steel framing, masonry and glass exterior finishes, combination single ply membrane and metal roofing, various interior finishes, construction of all necessary electrical lighting and power, rough-in of communications systems, installation of complete fire detection and suppression systems and installation of complete heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The total size of the structure is approximately 28,000 square feet. The existing building site is relatively free of trees and shrubs requiring minimal clearing and earthwork. Project includes the relocation and/or extension of water, sewer, gas, and electric lines and communications ducts as well as the removal of some existing asphalt paving and the construction of new concrete and asphalt parking areas and drives. The estimated magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A firm fixed priced contract award is anticipated. The contractor will provide all plant labor, materials and supervision necessary to accomplish the above described work. All work is located on the Air National Guard operated area of Alpena County Regional Airport, Alpena, MI. Standard Industry Code 1542 applies to this procurement. The Small Business size standard is $17 Million. Solicitation will be issued o/a March 11, 1999, BOD 30 days after issuance of solicitation. The cost for the solicitation package is $125.00 per set.
