type contract for paint facility filters for Directorate of Logistics
(DOL), Maintenance Division located on Fort Hood, Texas. These filters
must meet standards set by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation
Commission (TNRCC) that require the DOL to capture 99.5% of all paint
particulates by means of dry filter. The proposed initial contract
period is from 1 Mar 99 or date of award through 1 year with 3 option
years. The scope of the contract is to provide final and pre-paint
facility filters. Acquisition will be conducted under FAR Subpart 13.5
-- Test Program for Commercial Items. The type of filters required by
contract are; final filter, Part #332-528-002, Varicel II, 95% rating,
size 16"x20"x4", pre-filter, Part #140-412-500, AMAIR 62 Plus Super
Pleat, 92% rating, size 16"x20"x2", final filter, Part #332-528-007,
Varicel II, 95% rating, size 20"x25"x4", pre-filter, Part #159-547-880,
M80, 92% rating, size 20"x24"x4", pre-filter, Part #159-905-880, M80,
92% rating, size 20 1/4"x 20 1/4"x4", pre-filter, Part #159-858-880,
M80, 92% rating, size 24 1/4"x 24 1/4"x4". Pursuant to 10 U.S.C.
2304(c)(1), it is intended to award a sole source contract to American
Air Filter of Louisville, KY since no other known source exist that
meet standards set by TNRCC. However, all interested parties may submit
an offer which shall be considered. Solicitation number
DAKF48-99-Q-0129 will be released on or about 19 February 1999 and
close on or about 26 February 1999. Interested offerors who can
demonstrate the capability of providing filters that meet the TNRCC
standards, must respond prior to closing date of solicitation to be
