J -- ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE SOL USDC-99-B-0002 DUE 032699 POC Mr. Fernandez, Contracting Officer, 305-523-5075 The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, coordination, planning, scheduling, labor (all mechanics must be qualified), transportation, facilities, materials, parts, supplies, tools, and equipment, necessary to effect ALL preventive maintenance and repairs to ALL elevators located at the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, 300 NE First Ave, and 301 North Miami Ave, Miami, FL, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor is required to respond within one (1) hour for call-back services to restore elevator services in cases of elevator shutdown or emergency trouble should develop between regular examinations. The contractor is required to provide a 24-hour telephone line in order for the government to report call-back service and/or emergencies. This solicitation provides for a base performance period, plus options years. The base performance period may be from May 1, 1999 to April 30, 2000. Each option period is subject to FAR Clause 52.232-19, Availability of Funds for the Next Fiscal Year (APR 1984). SIC Code is 3534. Each contractor's employee assigned to work at the courthouse complex is subject to a NCIC and local police records check prior to be allowed to work. Upon request, each contractor must provide all requested personal data to enable the government to run the background check. Any employee receiving an unfavorable clearance will not be allowed at the courthouse complex. Solicitation may be issued on/about February/March 1999. A Firm-Fixed price contract is contemplated. This is a sealed bid solicitation. This solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside for Small Business in accordnace with Part 19.5. A limited number of this solicitation will be reproduced therefore, copies will be provided on a "first-come-first served" basis until the supply is exhausted.
