equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not
limited to the following base items: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel
and JP-5 Fuel Tanks, (2) Renew Deck Penetrations, (3) Renew Ductwork
from Fantail to Fan Space 2-207-1-Q, (4) Renew Ventilation Ductwork,
(5) Renew Waterproof Ventilators, (6) Renew Insulation and Lagging in
Reefer/Dry Stores Compartment, (7) Develop Plan on Ductwork Insulation
Renewal, (8) Overhaul and Install Magazine Sprinkler Valves, (9)
Overhaul Anchors and Anchor Chains, (10) Overhaul and Weight Test
Articulating Crane, (11) Overhaul and Weight Test Motor and Surf Boat
Davit Assembly, (12) Relocate Warping Capstan Connection Box, (13)
Renew Deck Covering, (14) Clean and Inspect Chain Lockers and Sump,
(15) Renew Bridge Bulkhead and Overhead Panels, (16) Provide Temporary
Logistics, etc. Option items include but are not limited to the
following: (1) Preserve Diesel Fuel and JP-5 Fuel Tanks, (2) Renew
Ductwork Insulation, (3) Renew Deck Covering Underlayment,, (4)Preserve
up to 25% of Port and Starboard Chain locker and Sump, (5) Provide
Additional Temporary Logistics, etc. Vessel's homeport is located at
4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth, Virginia 23703. The place of
performance with be the vessel's homepier. Vessel's availability
schedule is 7 June 1999 for 53 calendar days. Vessel is a 270 Foot
Medium Endurance Cutter. All referenced documents are available for
viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA. A
non-refundable charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be
issued on of after 25 February 1999. All responsible sources may submit
a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
