SOL WASC9-796 DUE 022499 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Siemens Building Technologies (Siemens) to upgrade NOAA's Landis & Staefa System 600 Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) to meet Year 2000 compliance standards in Seattle, WA. NOAA's Landis & Staefa System 600 EMCS was manufactured by Siemens and is considered proprietary technology. No other source known which can upgrade the EMCS to Year 2000 compliance other than Siemens. Scope of work includes upgrading the EMCS System 600 field panels and installing Year 2000 Apogee Workstation Software Upgrade. Any other sources which are qualified to perform subject work are requested to submit qualifications and experience performing such work on EMCS equipment specified, as well as list of successful Y2K upgrades.
