The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The proposed purchase order shall be for a period of one year. AWARD OF A PURCHASE ORDER RESULTING FROM THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED UNDER THE HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS ACT OF 1998, PUBLIC LAW 105-392 WHICH LIMITS AWARDS TO HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOOLS, OR APPROPRIATE NONPROFIT ENTITIES. The purpose of the procurement is to provide technical and logistical assistance to promote collaboration and cohesiveness among the allied health communities and between these allied health communities and other key stakeholders. This would entail convening and managing two meetings. The first would be a steering committee meeting of allied health representatives to develop strategies that would foster collaboration and set an agenda for the larger conference. The larger conference with approximately 75 invites would provide a forum to discuss the issues and to seek solutions to enhanced collaboration in allied health. A final report outlining the recommendations with implementation plans and guidelines for promoting collaboration within the allied heath communities-of-interest would be required.
