Administration (FDA) and the Office of Women's Health (OWH): Take Time
To Care campaign intends to award a purchase order for professional
services for a Women's Health Education Campaign for a national blitz
of the "Use Medicines Wisely" message. Activities will take place
nationwide during the month of October 1999. The contractor shall
advise and assist in the following activities: 1.) Program Design:
Assist in the design and implementation of the national Women's Health:
Take Time To Care campaign. Work with national organization ranging
from women's advocacy groups to health care provider associations to
solicit support for this program. Track and follow-up on action items
to assure that the commitments made by each party have been addressed.
2.) Conference Presentation: Assist in the development and
implementation of a travel plan to attend conferences and workshops in
order to brief organizations about the TTTC program. Use OWH display
materials at selected events. 3.) Materials Design: Coordinate the
development and revision of educational materials for OWH outreach
activities. Work with the graphics staff, printing office and mail out
services to assure those materials reach the appointed destinations.
4.) Writing and Editing: Draft talking points, consumer articles and
news releases for review and approval by the OWH and Office of Public
Affairs. Provide similar professional services on other OWH outreach
efforts such as breast cancer, osteoporosis, and nutrition, as time
permits during the contract period. 5.) Web Site Updating: Act as a
member of the OWH Internet team to assure that TTTC materials are
appropriately formatted and updated on the OWH homepage. 6.) Event
Planning: Participate in rollout and advance services to assure that
VIPs work effortlessly in selected cities. 7.) Program Planning: Assist
in the development of the next TTTC theme for the year 2000. Work with
staff to develop options supported by a search for existing data. The
contractor shall met the following criteria: 1.) Have a bachelor's
degree with two (2) years of related work experience. 2.) A resume will
be required which shows competence and experience in each area of the
responsibility in the scope of work. 3.) Resume shall provide
references for related work experience to include organization, contact
name and phone number. 4.) Security Clearance may be required. The
activities call for one full time person and will work on-site
(Rockville, MD) and off-site based on the needs of the project. All
