The Navy has a requirement to manufacture 75 each electrically initiated Thru-Bulkhead Initiators (TBI)'s that will be used to activate primary battery systems. The initiator body, orifice plate, output closure and detonator assembly shall be constructed of passivated 300 series CRES. The detonator assembly shall be designed to Mil-I-23659 in the manufacture of this requirement. A Pre-Award Survey applies prior to award. A Firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is reserved for Small Business. The applicable SIC code is 2892 and the size standard is 750 employees or less. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination, 45 days after effective date of award. It is anticipated that a formal RFQ will be issued to satisfy this requirement. FAR Part 12 procedures will not apply.
