This announcement amends a previous announcement on January 19, 1999 (Submission #289043) entitled "58 -- HIGH FREQUENCY SONAR SAIL ARRAY". The Government will hold a preprocurement conference for prospective solicitation N66604-99-R-2011 at Applied Research Laboratory/University of Texas, 10000 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas. The conference will begin 0800 10 MAR 1999 and end before 1700. The conference will include discussion of CONFIDENTIAL material. Persons desiring attendance must forward visit requests to ARL/UT security at (fax) 512 835-3259. US citizens without appropriate clearances may attend unclassified portions of the conference, but must also forward notice of their intent to visit to the same office. NUWC will provide an overview of the hardware being procured and the procurement strategy and will answer questions. ARL/UT will provide a detailed overview of the prototype arrays which they designed, built and tested, and will answer questions relative to their design approach, assembly procedures, test procedures and test instrumentation. Following these discussions, ARL will provide a tour of all prototype hardware available. All documentation released by the conference date will be made available at the conference.
